The Problem Story

It started the way serious incidents usually do — quietly. A customer onboarding workflow had been running in production for weeks. It had human approval steps, a Salesforce API call, data shaping stages, and a final notification trigger. Then, without warning, success rates dropped. Human task queues bloomed. An OAuth token had silently expired somewhere inside the flow. The team split across four different tools to diagnose one broken process. The BPMN tool showed the design — not what was actually running. The logging system surfaced raw errors — disconnected from any visual context. The operations dashboard showed portfolio KPIs — but couldn't point to the exact node that breached SLA. The code config lived somewhere else entirely. Nobody had the full picture. And the hardest question stayed unanswered: "What do we change, where do we change it, and how do we ship it safely?" This wasn't a one-off incident. It was a structural problem. Enterprises weren't struggling to create workflows — they were struggling to operate, govern, and evolve them. Especially across four fundamentally different automation types that each had their own tool, their own mental model, and their own blind spots. That's the moment FlowForge came into focus: one surface where teams could design, inspect, deploy, and monitor workflows — regardless of type.
